Haikouichthys

Haikouichthys was one of the earliest fish and one of the first vertebrates to swim in the ocean during the Cambrian explosion, 525 million years ago. It was a challenge to gather fossil descriptions that translated well into an illustration, so I did take some liberties with this one. Admittedly, I had to fight the urge to draw some kind of jaw structures on these little guys^^
